Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 24: Actress Sheena Chohan stars in a new comedy-drama series “Ex-Mates”, about an energetic, bubbly girl stuck with her lazy, going-nowhere ex.

Sheena Chohan was recently seen as Madhuri Dixit’s PR Manager on The Fame Game and as a journalist on the 2nd season of City of Dreams. She just wrapped a feature where she plays Saint Tukaram’s wife, alongside Marathi super-star Subodh Bhave, directed by Aditya Om. She also plays a lead part in the soon-to-be-released The Good Wife, with Kajol.

In Ex-Mates Sheena’s character, Shreya Prasad is a high-energy, hi-tech executive, trapped in a relationship with her low-down, low-life boyfriend, and the story is about her hilarious efforts to survive his mess, smells, and strange, confused mind… without losing her own.

The actress is presently excited about her upcoming performance in “Ex Mates” on Humara Movies. Sheena said: “It was a lot of fun to inhabit this character, Shreya. It was a blast losing myself in all the comedy after I’d done my usual research into understanding who she is and what motivates her. Shreya’s character was a tremendous amount of fun for me to play because she represents so many young Indian women who want to succeed and have all of the intelligence and energy to do so, but something… or an annoying, no-good, stinky someone… gets in their way.”

Ex Mates is a visually stunning, comedy-heavy drama with a message about figuring out your own goals and learning to live with the peculiar ones of others. Vibhav Ameta co-wrote and directed. Sagar Veen plays Kunal and Vinay Vinar is also featured.

Sheena Chohan started her career with 5 years of theatre and has starred as the lead in 5 consecutive movies, three of which had directors who won National Awards. She made her acting debut in an action thriller opposite Malayalam megastar Mammootty, went on to star in two Bengali legend Buddhadeb Das Gupta productions, and was nominated for Best Actress alongside Kiera Knightley for Mustafa Farooki’s Ant Story, which was acquired by Netflix. Sheena most recently appeared as Madhuri Dixit’s public relations manager on The Fame Game and as a journalist on City of Dreams’ second season.

Sheena is also South Asia Ambassador for United for Human Rights (www.humanrights.com), the world’s largest non-governmental human rights campaign, where by working with artists like Sonakshi Sinha, Preety Zinta, Raveena Tandon and in collaboration with Rohini Iyer’s Raindrop Media, has spread awareness of basic rights and equality to over one hundred million people in India since Lockdown. Sheena was awarded the Human Rights Hero Award at the United Nations in New York.

Sheena, known for her versatility as an actress, will next be seen in Disney+Hotstar’s The Good Wife, opposite Kajol.
